I recently had the opportunity to make drone costumes for an artistic collaboration between speculative architect Liam Young and John Cale (ex Velvet Underground). Young’s idea was to shift the public image of drones from their existing dystopian narratives and open their potential as emerging cultural objects. The drones were showcased at a John Cale performance at the Barbican where they flew over the audience.
