Revolution Manchester
– with Kin Associates – A wayfinding gallery for the Museum of Science and Technology in Manchester that uses technology in creative ways to tell the story behind historical artefacts and makes them relevant to a younger audience. At reception visitors are handed a barcode card which allows them to post their picture and interests to a 3 storey high digital chandelier. They can also leave a vox-pop movie telling of their ‘Manchester story’ which will be showcased on the centre piece of the gallery, a curved media wall made from 50 high-definition bezeless LCD panels. The gallery is divided into 6 different colour coded zones, each containing interactive games to communicate their core story in a tactile way to a younger audience.
